An MoU has been signed between the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Lovely Professional University and a multinational company- CooperSurgical Origio, India. This tie-up is for the M.Sc program in ‘Clinical Embryology’, which has been started at LPU.
Cooper Surgical Fertility Solutions is a global leader in IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and reproductive genetics. This engagement with a global leader in the area will help Clinical Embryology students at LPU to get real-life exposure to the usage of requisite techniques in an infertility centre. Cooper Surgical has a large worldwide presence in 24 countries.
The MoU has been signed by Country General Manager Dr Amit Bhatnagar from CooperSurgical Origio and LPU Registrar Dr Monica Gulati. Pro-Vice Chancellor at LPU, Prof Dr Sanjay Modi and elite team members with Dr Bhatnagar also witnessed the signing ceremony.
Dr Monica Gulati shares: “We have started Masters’ level Clinical Embryology program at the university, and this MoU will ensure real-life exposure to students on techniques that are required in ‘Infertility centres’. We want to see our students excel in the field through collaboration with an MNC which offers women’s healthcare, especially enhanced fertility solutions.”
