The Faculty Induction Program (FIP) on Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Research was successfully conducted by TalentGro Global in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC), Lovely Professional University (LPU), from 7th-March to 18th-April-2026. The FIP was conceptualized to equip faculty members with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and pedagogical strategies, enabling them to enhance teaching effectiveness, research productivity, and academic innovation in an increasingly digital academic ecosystem.
Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor & Dean, Head, HRDC, LPU welcomed the participants and emphasized the growing need for AI integration in education. Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Manish Gupta, Executive Registrar (Admin), LPU, highlighted the transformative role of AI in reshaping higher education and encouraged faculty members to adopt technology-driven approaches in teaching and research.
Over the course of six weeks, the FIP covered a comprehensive range of contemporary themes, including AI in Academia, Ethical and Policy Dimensions of AI, AI-driven content creation (images, video, and voice), AI agents in academic ecosystems, knowledge base development, workflow automation tools such as N8N and Zapier, Notion-based productivity systems, AI-enabled interactivity, and gamification strategies. The sessions were highly interactive and hands-on, enabling participants to gain practical experience in integrating AI into real-world academic workflows.
The sessions were delivered by expert trainers from TalentGro Global, including Ms. Indu Aggarwal, Mr. Sanjay Aggarwal, Mr. Rishabh Chauhan, Mr. Abhinav Garg, and Dr. Tamanna Sood, who provided valuable insights and application-oriented learning experiences.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members across disciplines, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. A major highlight of the FIP was the Project Showcase Session, where participants presented innovative AI-integrated teaching strategies, research models, and automation workflows developed during the program, demonstrating the practical impact and applicability of AI in academia.
The FIP was convened under the leadership of Dr. Sunaina Ahuja (Professor & Dean, Head, HRDC, LPU) and was effectively coordinated by Dr. Harish Mittu (Professor, Department of Faculty Development, HRDC, LPU), along with Mr. Rahul Kanojia and Ms. Khushboo Saini, ensuring its smooth and successful execution.
The Valedictory Session was graced by Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, LPU, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the critical role of Artificial Intelligence in driving innovation and excellence in higher education. He encouraged participants to actively integrate AI tools into their academic practices and contribute to institutional growth.
Participants expressed high satisfaction with the program, highlighting its relevance, hands-on approach, and immediate applicability. Many noted a significant improvement in their confidence and competence in using AI for teaching, research, and academic administration.
