The world’s most pressing concerns are the ones that get little attention in comparison to how critical they are and how much can be done to address them. Moreover, working to tackle global problems, does not have to be so disconcerting or stressful. About seven billion people inhabit this planet. If only more of us, even in little ways, gave back. The cumulative impact of those billions of tiny gestures would be enormous.
Believing that the world can come together when grappled with substantial shared challenges, Sm Sammam Sakti Ibn Sahadat, a B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) student at Lovely Professional University has launched a new chapter under the aegis of “State of Youth Lovely Professional University” chapter with the support of “International Children Peace Prize” provider organization “KidsRight”.
“State Of Youth” is the world’s first borderless digital “State” launched by KidsRight to give a voice to millions of young people. Its goal is to reach beyond national borders and empower the global youth community aged (18-24 years old) to act on the Sustainable Development Goals and the world’s most critical crisis.
The state of youth aims to empower the youth community by building a non-political, non-religious digital state that rises above borders. In addition, it is a platform for raising awareness, building advocacy, and addressing the most pressing issue the world faces today amongst the like-minded change-makers who feel responsible for the world of tomorrow.
Furthermore, this platform has been founded by KidsRight and connected by Facebook with a mission to build a community and a vision to key UN SDGs. KidsRight is an international non-government organization that strives for a world where all the children have access to their rights and believes in their power to make changes possible. KidsRights supports youth by facilitating global attention towards the children’s rights and acting as a catalyst to promote change, together with children and youth.
Currently, across 19 countries all over the world, there are more than 50 youth chapters, and “Lovely Professional University” has been a chapter path of “State Of Youth” where Sammam Sakti is going to lead the “State of Youth _Lovely Professional University” chapter as a “Chapter Leader” next 12 months to work for the SDG’s and social improvement, aiming towards a community of young Vertos collaborating, empowering and engaging the youths on sustainable development goals.
I hope our Vertos are ready to bring a change in the world by voicing their opinions and taking action.
