Beating 41 teams across the nation including IITs and NITs, LPU team Illuminati Racers have set a benchmark by winning overall championship trophy along with 1st positions in B-plan presentation, cost report and velodrome events at ‘Rally Car Design Challenge-2018’ (RCDC) held in Rajasthan.
Rally car design challenge(RCDC) was India’s first challenge in which engineering students participated in motorsports in India. The target for the teams was to design a two-seater buggy which is aesthetically and ergonomically sound and is a fun and durable machine in its own ways.
The main aim of RCDC is to train students about how the automobile industry works so teams work and function like an automotive company in which they develop this product and launch it in the market and sell. To check these things continuous assessments were made like – sales report, cost report, business plan, in which the professional team of mentors from RCDC trained the students on how they could improvise on these.
