It was established in the year 1879. Livingstone College is a private, historically black Christian college in Salisbury, North Carolina. It is affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Livingstone College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Social Work degrees. IN 2022, it was ranked 68th in Regional Colleges South, 20th in Top Performers on Social Mobility, and 49th in historically Black colleges and Universities. Livingstone University is famous for its renowned faculty and numerous notable alumni.
