93% of students in the School of Education at Lovely Professional University have successfully cracked the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The qualifying number of the LPU students of graduating batch 2024 who appeared in the test is 52 students out of 56. The national qualifying percentage for July 2024 is 19.68%.
Almost all of the LPU students cracked the test in their very first attempt. With a special focus on CTET-mapped courses, thorough guidance is provided to the students at the university. The preparedness is also coupled with the mock entrance exam evaluation pattern. Each student is then evaluated through 3000+ multiple choice questions (MCQs). In addition, courses such as analytical skills; social science/ mathematics and science; and, comprehension in languages (Hindi and English) are also dealt with. Special classes are given to students before commencement of the CTET exam.
Congratulating the successful students with illustrious results, Pro Chancellor of LPU Col. Rashmi Mittal said that education programmes at LPU are to create teachers as per 21st century needed teaching and digital creativity skills.
Now, after receiving the CTET certificates, LPU students can further apply for all Central/State Government teaching jobs. Worth pointing out factor is that candidates cannot apply for private government teaching jobs without a TET certificate. Riding on the success with CTET qualification, 90% of our students secured placements in prestigious schools across India and abroad. An impressive placement was achieved by Jishnu M. Nair at a renowned school in Dubai.
