In view of the forthcoming legislative assembly elections in the state of Punjab, NSS volunteers of Lovely Professional University organized a mega rally at the campus on January 12th, in aid of SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation). The rally aimed to remind all the students of their right and responsibility to vote.
LPU students arranged a two kilometer long rally at the campus holding voting awareness placards and raising slogans to motivate students to utilize their voting rights. The rally was flagged off by Election Observer Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, ADC (Kapurthala) Ms Deepti, and ADC (Phagwara) Ms Babita Kaler.
In yet another SVEEP related activity, NSS volunteers of Lovely Professional University organized a Nukkad Natak, at the campus. The objective here was to usher in a better understanding of responsible voting to achieve desired representation.
As part of SVEEP activities, DD News rolled out the first episode of its special talkshow ‘ChunaviChaupal’ at Lovely Professional University (LPU). Focused upon the upcoming Punjab Elections, the show invited LPU faculty and students to share their opinions about the whole electoral process.
