Haven’t you noticed that for the past couple days, the heat is getting to us and the summer winds are being welcomed with cotton t-shirts and coconut water? Winter seems disappearing slowly as the warmer days take over. It’s time for beach vibes, tan lines and summer fun all over again.
On 20th March the satellite officially witnessed the first day of spring. The vernal or spring equinox is what it is called. It’s basically when the sun passes over the Equator and Northern Hemisphere begins to tilt-shift toward the sun. This is what leads to longer days in the north zone and shorter days in south zone indicating that the warm days are on the way.
Seasons on Earth are governed by the planet’s orbit and the 23.5-degree tilt of the vertical axis due to which during orbital motion the northern and southern poles are towards the sun. During Equinox, both the poles receive the same amount of sunlight. It gives a signal that neither the day or night is longer but both share a 12 hour apiece. Due to the atmospheric effect of earth, the sunset is delayed and sunrise is accelerated. This particular event varies from 19th to 21st March and depending upon which location you reside in, there can be minor differences in the occurrence manner. With all this scientific reasoning behind wearing half-sleeve t-shirts, there’s much more to do during this time of the year. You literally have more time, with which you can do all the things you’ve dreamt of all winter long. Stretch up your arms and legs, jog up your body and get ready for the Pina Coladas and Choco Fudge to define your time of the season.
