Lovely Professional University organized the 10th Annual Honor Ceremony at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university to recognize its 655 outstanding students’ achievements in different areas of their performances. For this, cash awards of Rs 20 plus Lakh were awarded to them along with ‘University Rolls of Honor’.
Achievers included 351 academic toppers & researchers with 9.5 and above CGPA; 257 international and national level sports-persons; 29 best performers at AIU Competitions; 13 Community Services’ volunteers including 6 participants at Republic-Day Rajpath Parade; and, 5 Innovators of NASA (America) Project Design. Every year, LPU honors the achievements of its students made throughout the academic session, at this ceremony. The parents of the 655 awardee-students also witnessed the honoring ceremony of their wards.
Addressing prize-winning students as “a select group of top students at LPU”, Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal congratulated them and their parents, who had gathered together at LPU to celebrate the success related to them. Inspiring all, Mr Mittal further advised students to keep on performing their best. Mr Mittal also assured students that university will keep on adding more facilities at the campus like recently furbished largest Indoor Sports Stadium of the country, Innovation Project Studio and more.
Referring LPU as an ‘international brand’ now, parents of award-winning agriculture student Kiranpreet Kaur, S Jasbir Singh and Smt Jagjeet Kaur appreciated the endeavour of the university. Similar were the views of Mr Ashwani Kalia, father of Rishabhdev Kalia who has got 9.67 CGPA in pharmacy stream.
Prior to this, Executive Dean Dr Sanjay Modi welcomed all achievers and their parents and appreciated their unshaken faith in all the doings of the university. Mr Modi assured all parents that through Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal’s vision of keep on adding quality to the education; Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal’s parental care to students as her own children; Director General Er HR Singla’s continuous stress on value system at the campus; and, above all unflinching hard efforts of the teachers and staff members will always carve out the bright future of their wards under all aspects. Executive Dean Dr Lovi Raj Gupta advised achieving students to maintain the glory of the word “Outstanding” attached to them from now onwards and to carry the essence of betterment ever and ever.
