Don’t let the weather get your looks uder. A few smart hacks can beat every beauty hurdle student life throws your way.
Ever since I came here, I have faced unusual beauty problems that I never knew existed. So here are a few tips that I have learnt in a month’s span.
1) Save your jewellery from tarnishing. The humidity will not permit you to keep our fingers dry all the time. The sweat will discolour the new rings that you slid on a few hours ago, also leaving green stains on your fingers. Apply a coat of transparent nail paint on your costume jewellery to avoid it from tarnishing. Reapply it once every 4-5 months.
2) Use a dry shampoo. You must have realized the need of keeping a dry shampoo handy, already. DIY-Make your own dry shampoo by mixing baby powder with baking soda and apply onto your hair roots to save yourself the horror of greasy locks.
3) Take care of your feet. All of us do a lot of walking, right? Apply moisturizer or vaseline on your feet, and put on some cozy socks before you go to bed. The lotion or petroleum jelly will ensure you wake up with baby-soft feet.
4) Make your own gel eyeliner. Eyeliner pencils are a big NO-NO! It smudges off so easily in the humid weather here. Gel eyeliner is a great way to make your eyes look smoldering and gel tends to last longer than pencil eyeliners. The problem is that gel eyeliners can be expensive. So, make your own. You just have to take a lighter and carefully heat the end of any eyeliner pencil to create gel eyeliner.
5) Set your lipstick with powder so that it lasts longer. After you have applied your chosen lip colour, just hold a tissue over your lips lightly and dust just a bit of translucent powder over the tissue.
6) Fast dry your nail-paint. Girls like me, who can never sit patiently at a place doing nothing, always end up spoiling the paint on the nails. Fast-Dry Your Nail Polish by simply dipping your nails into water after you finish polishing them.
Follow my tips and look fab whatever the weather. Stay beautiful!
