We are all very well aware that Europeans are known for their sophistication when it comes apparel. They take pride in being fashionable, men and women alike. But never do they come across as trying too hard because their sense of sophistication regarding fashion is subtle yet rich.

Thanks to the digital age we live in, we get to experience such cross cultural diversity at the click of a button. One instance to prove this experience would be the growth of European style consumerism in India. Few years ago Zara and now H&M (Both European companies) have created a stir in the Indian market – every young adult is seen holding a Zara or H&M carry bag in their instagram feed ;). The e-commerce sites in India has also up their game, Jabong now deals with international brands like NEXT, TOPMAN and other European brands.

Anyways let’s get into the article and review Jabong winter wear! I am sure we are all eyeing certain stuff on the site already, and since I’ve talked about jackets in multiple write-ups, so I figured it is only fair if I help you wade through the sea of jacket choices available on Jabong, in a bid to help you all brave through this winter with panache. 😉 And if I get a green light from you guys, I will consider reviewing other sites too. ☺

Jabong has put up 2000 plus Jackets under the men’s section, I scrolled through every piece and finally narrowed what I consider worth discussing to 19! The parameters were set keeping in mind the following:

  • Durability

  • Multi utility

  • Finishing/ stitching of the garment

  • Color tones based on trend

  • Balanced price tags ranging from mid range to realistic high range

  • Distinctive pieces just in case you don’t want to see everyone wearing the same

As I’ve talked about in my earlier write-ups, this season’s trend is all about neutrals with a touch of eccentricity for all those who believe in daring to be different. The pieces I’ve selected can be pulled off effortlessly without thinking twice, perfect for layering in case you are someone like me who needs to be in layers of clothing to stay warm.

If you haven’t browsed through Jabong I will try and help you filter your search, save your  time and hopefully alleviate confusion for those who have already had a sneak peak but are still on the fence.

This grid consist of basic grey jackets which are perfect for everyday winter wear- team them with jeans/ chinos, plain tee, canvas shoes or boots and you are good to go (their formal use value is fairly obvious). The pea coat at the bottom can be layered or worn alone with a tee – feel free to try it on with whatever inspires you. The trench is a great substitute for heavy jackets. Wear it with a knit wear and you are comfy and easy to go (you can lose the belt if it’s too much to handle).

These olive tone jackets will instantly add life to your look without any overdo – So don’t hesitate to grab it if you are into light weight jackets of such cuts. And don’t worry, you don’t have to buy another pair of pants or shirt to go with it. Just don’t wear it with heavy logo shirts or bright tone pants. Any basic tone lower/pants/jeans should suffice.

If you are into prints or multicolored jackets, these blends are the best and safest option, not too loud but just enough to satisfy your urge for eccentricity. One tip when buying print or multicolored jackets would be always making sure it has some earthy tones along with the others if you want to swing between formal and casual wear.

This grid is ageless! You can even gift on of these to your dad – for once he will find something in common with what you wear. 😉 Very subtle but works with every body type and any occasion.

If you are into the biker/tough guy vibe, this grid is perfect for you ;). The leather bomber on the bottom left should replace the polyester bomber jacket that you’ve been wearing. The leather jacket at the top is the perfect silhouette if you want something durable but affordable (since leather jackets aren’t that easy on the pocket) – wear it casually, or with a white shirt and grey cotton pants for a formal look.

Well that’s just about it guys! I hope this gives you an idea for this winter.
