“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”

 — Kahlil Gibran

Music has been a constant companion for humanity. At the beginning of human civilization, music was just a medium of entertainment. Today, it has grown to become much more. Music has united nations, fueled revolutions and replenished communities. Music can motivate a human to achieve greater heights and exceed their potential. The people revered legendary musicians for their exceptional and intuitive musical compositions.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is known to be the musical hub. There have been a lot of great musicians and bands that originated from LPU and have thrived in their lives. Some of the alums of LPU have also made it to the big leagues. They are composing songs, performing lives at various stages.

One such legendary band, which has done a lot of mind-blowing songs and covers, has recently performed at LPU. Student Welfare Wing, known for its unique activities and out-of-the-box thinking, helped organize the musical evening with rock band Anarchy.

Anarchy is a four-piece rock band. It is a variation of the Midnight Scars, a commercial band formed in 2018. Drummer Zubin Justin and Bassist Ranbir Sangha hail from this band; they were later joined by Noweldeep Rana, the lead singer/rhythm guitarist and Sayantan Das, the lead guitarist. Anarchy is a band made up of ambitious and passionate musicians. Apart from Zubin, everyone else is an LPU Alumni. All share a common vision of staying true to their soul, which is rock n’ roll and sharing this essence of rock n’ roll with everyone.

Anarchy is an aggressive, heavy and intense band. Their first single is called “My School, My Rule.” The band is also working on several other tracks, which will be released in their debut album.

The band was humble, and they stated that the Department of Cultural Activities helped them conduct the performance at LPU. They believe LPU provides enthusiasm, passion and support to creators and achievers. We wish to hear their single soon and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
