Bollywood Singer Amit Trivedi enthralled thousands of LPU students with his soulful masterpieces at Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis of the university. The occasion was India’s most popular mega-musical live Concert ‘Coke Studio’, which is established by Coca-Cola India. Much popular among the young generation, Amit Trivedi presented his scintillating ‘LIVE’ performances to make students yell, shriek, thump, tap, clap, dance and swoon on his melodies. With impeccable tracks of the celebrated artist, the show beautifully echoed the spirit of LPU. Amit was accompanied by many other artists, including Meghna Mishra, Dawinder, Yashita and Arun. In tune to the diversity of 30,000 + students at LPU Campus from 50+ countries and all Indian States, Coke Studio, too, celebrated the diversity of Music.
While interacting with LPU students, winner of National Film Award for Best Music Direction and many other prestigious awards to his credit, Amit Trivedi said: “Music always connects people and while performing Live for a young audience at LPU, I hope my music created special moments for everyone at LPU Campus.” He also added: “Coke Studio holds a very special place in my heart as it’s a platform that gives an artist the freedom and opportunity to experiment with music. I have been collaborating with Coke Studio for years and each time I go on stage, I’m excited as I was the first time.”
Ranging from devotional, angry rock, authentic classical, honey-soaked melodies to novel fusion music; Amit Trivedi presented the best of his lyrics and music for LPU students. Opening with the recent movie ‘Kedarnath’ movie’s famous “Namo Namo Jee Shankra” devotional outpouring, he continued with many other including “Manja, Naina da Kya Kasoor, Hu Ba Hu, Love you Zindagi, Mujhe Chhod do Yaar mere Haal Pe, Emotional Atyachar and more.” ‘Secret Super Star’ fame, Meghna Mishra sang out “Nachdi fira bn dhn ho, Mai Kaun Hoon and more”. Students also danced on Yashita Sharma’s “Dreamum Wakeupum critical conditionum, Main Yaar Manana Ni (Dance Mix)”.
On this occasion, Lovely Group Chairman Mr Ramesh Mittal, Vice-Chairman Mr Naresh Mittal, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal and Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal were prominently present. Pro Chancellor Mrs Mittal informed, “We are extremely delighted to partner with Coca-Cola on Coke Studio, for providing an enriching musical experience to LPU students. Our students were enthralled to be a part of Coke Studio and were left mesmerised by Amit Trivedi’s live performances.”
