Deams about the future are always filled with gadgets. – Neil de Grasse Tyson

The ongoing talk of the town has been the recently launched IPhone 7 series by gadget giant Apple. Gadgets enthusiast from every nook and corner have been awaiting the new IPhone series since its promotion. The month of October will create a scenario where people all over India will be going crazy over the launch of IPhone 7.

Advertisements, promotions, social media, magazines etc. is crowded with news regarding IPhone 7 and its launch. In all these frenzy, we have subconsciously become ignorant of the other new gadgets being introduced in the same year i.e. 2016. Recently, I have been browsing and surveying some of the latest gadgets released this year, and this article will be about reviewing the top 10 gadgets of 2016 ( P.S IPhone 7 will be omitted )

  1. OnePlus 3

What OnePlus has done with its newest smartphone is not just impressive- but astounding. Considering its specifications and the price margin compared with phones like Galaxy S7 and Nexus 6P, the OnePlus 3 deserves to be awarded the best android smartphone. The features seem just too good considering the price tag.

  1. IPhone SE

Okay, so it’s totally unarguable that there isn’t anything particularly new or innovative about the new IPhone SE. It’s basically as 4.0 inch version of the IPhone 6, and it doesn’t have the newest features of IPhone 6s with its design similarity to the IPhone 5. However, the IPhone SE is pretty much a smart release by Apple considering that many consumers still preferred the 4.0 inch category with new features. It’s quite the catch considering its portable size and features of IPhone 6.

  1. IPad Pro (9.7 inch)

First things first: I couldn’t disagree more with the naming of the IPad Pro more. It’s a huge blunder to be selling a 12.9-inch IPad Pro, a 9.7-inch IPad Pro, a 9.7-inch IPad Air 2, and an 11-inch MacBook Air- all hovering around similar price points. Apple has slowly gone away from its simpler naming and marketing schemes in favor of the tech industries proclivities of trying to have a product for everyone. Having said that, the 9.7-inch IPad Pro is a fascinating device. Its features include new improvements and additions compared to its predecessors. IPad Pro seems pretty much the computer you need if you aren’t looking for a full laptop much.

  1. Oculus Rift

The modern age of high-end virtual reality is officially here after years of prototypes and test. And it offers the best experience with no room for disappointment, and it’s packed with super performance offering immersive VR experiences and an ultra-refined build and fit.

Its availability has been an issue due to parts shortages and ill-considered retail moves. Still that does not diminish both the importance and quality of the Rift. VR reality has never been more real than this. Offering high-end experience to the consumers, it is expected to get a boost after the launch of the Touch controllers.

  1. DJI Phantom 4

Drones are one of the best gadgets ever to be released with their wide application in various sectors and departments. DJI Phantom 4 has been at the top at the drone market. Although it costs a little too much, the Phantom 4 shows exactly why. Not much jaw dropping shift to the last year’s model, but the improvements and enhancements are meaningful and it’s the easiest drone to pilot if you are not a pro.

Notable improvements are that of the obstacle detection and automatic flying modes, plus the ability to maintain focus on a person or thing while in flight.

  1. Amazon Kindle Oasis

In the era of smartphones, tablets, and screens on almost everything, dedicated e-readers seem less- unless you are a die-hard book junkie and prefer to spend time reading some good genres of books and novels. The newest E ink device Amazon Kindle Oasis is just for you.

Amazon aimed for the high-end with the Kindle Oasis, and it scored big with an amazingly lightweight build, a fantastically sharp screen, an easy-to-use interface, and even a leather covering of your choice. It’s one of the finest e-book reader on the market, and if you are a book enthusiast, you need to get this.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

If we’re being practical, the standard Galaxy S7 is the smarter pick of Samsung’s latest flagship duo, offering incredible performance and perks at the lower price point. However, if we are being more adventurous, we can’t help but choose the beautiful curves and unrivalled look of the Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Galaxy S7 Edge looks much the same as last year’s phone, but the enhancements aren’t tiny: along with a performance boost, the phone itself is just a hair larger, plus it adds microSD support and waterproofing. Beyond that, its every bit the stunner we saw with the Galaxy S6 Edge, making it one of the best phone on the planet right now.

  1. Kangaroo Mobile Desktop

Laptops sale is increasing in multiples while the sale of desktops is decreasing at considerable rates. Computers today come in far more variety. Desktops and laptops now share the market with notebooks, tablets, phones and more. Stick PCs are fairly new to the field. The Kangaroo is not a perfect PC, but at just $99 it doesn’t have to be. You can get one for a few special uses where even a laptop is too bulky, run it as a streaming game or media PC on a big screen or just keep it in your backpack for when you need a Windows PC. The unique features and lower price cements that if you’re in the market for a stick PC, then this is the one to buy.

  1. HTC Vive

D:\Work Article\vive_headset_2.png

Much in competition with the Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive is a desired VR set in par with the Oculus rift in consideration to its grander immersion. It’s built around the premise of room-scale VR, which means many games have you move around your room and interact all around you. The experience is unlike anything you’ve played before.

For now, we are waiting for more full-fledged games to come out for the Vive, as the Rift currently has the edge in that department.

  1. Master and Dynamic: M&W60

D:\Work Article\Screen Shot 2016-06-25 at 11.45.49 AM.png

New York audio startup Master& Dynamic’s MW60 wireless over-the-ear can only fill your ears with high audio fidelity- a challenge for most Bluetooth headphones- but also elicit enough joy that you’ll catch yourself bopping your head and singing along to whatever track is playing. In the premium headphones space dominated by brands such as Sennheiser, Bang & Olufsen, Bose, Bowers & Wilkins and even Apple-owned Beats, Master& Dynamic is an audio upstart that proves it could create beautifully functional products that delivers exceptional performance.

You wouldn’t know the magical sound quality this headphone delivers unless you try it.

So work your fingers on the keyboard and check it out for yourself.
