* “From Beginners to Breakthrough: LPU’s Engaging Session with ‘Shark Tank India’ Participants organised at the campus
* Discussions delved around overcoming initial challenges, scaling a start-up and securing investment
In a bid to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among its students, Lovely Professional University’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Start-ups orchestrated “The Founders: Beginners to Breakthrough.” The event featured renowned start-up founders who have participated in the Shark Tank (India). These entrepreneurs shared their inspiring journeys, offering insights and valuable lessons for budding entrepreneurs at LPU.
LPU Pro Chancellor Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal welcomed the Ankush Barjata Founder Deeva, Vivek Krishna Founder of Sukham, Sahil Manral, and Dhruv Founder Rize, Himanshu Adlakha Founder Winston, and Anuj Founder Bucca Bucci builders of new-age companies and start-ups.
Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal stated, “This platform offers our students a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with these industry leaders, gaining invaluable insights into the world of entrepreneurship and innovation. LPU is an ocean of opportunities; all it requires is your initiative to dive in, explore, and craft your path to success.”
The discussion delved into such topics as overcoming initial challenges, scaling a start-up, securing investment, and the role of perseverance in achieving success. All founders emphasised the importance of remaining open to learning and unwavering self-belief. They underscored that a willingness to continuously learn opens doors to new avenues of success in life. They advised against merely keeping ideas confined to the mind, urging students to take that crucial step towards realising their ambitions. Each action, they noted, propels individuals closer to their goals. Persistence is key, while setbacks may arise in one or two ventures but not in every. Clarity and focus on product strategy were highlighted as essential components for success.
The founders stressed the significance of finding the right partner whose aspirations align with one’s own on the entrepreneurial journey. Such partnerships not only aid in problem-solving but also in pursuing shared dreams. They encouraged relying on authentic public advocacy rather than self-proclamation as the best brand, emphasising that satisfied customers should serve as brand ambassadors. Creating a strong brand identity was identified as a source of authority and influence. This event motivates, guides, and empowers our future leaders who are passionate about entrepreneurship by giving them a chance to engage directly with successful founders.
