“In order to create an engaging learning experience, the role of instructor is optional, but the role of learner is essential.” – Bernard Bull
LPU’s distance learning programme is designing lively e-learning experience for students from all across India. The recent induction programme attracted huge number of students for which they conducted weekly classes, assessments and biometric verifications. They were guided through all the procedures and provided assistance by the Distance Management department of the university.
Students are often not able to attend classes in the campus, which becomes a barrier in their learning. Some students are also engaged in part time or full time jobs due to which they often couldn’t continue with their learning. Lovely Professional University’s distance learning system allows the student to add felicity to their education while continuing their other passions or jobs. They are provided with the same facilities and services as provided to the regular students to indulge them in the university environment. Thousands of students have signed up for courses in diverse fields and are gaining knowledge through the interactive e-learning system. They are also becoming a part of various activities and projects which will help them to enhance their practical skills.
In evidence to the quality Distance Learning Programmes, LPU is receiving hundreds of Distance Learning students on daily basis for Induction Programme. The induction is being done in several batches. The students are registered on the LPU “Online Learning Management Systems” for daily communication between the University and the students. In addition, LPU encourages Distance Learning students also to take part in Sports and other activities taking place at the University.
After the positive response of distance learning students in inductions, the university is proudly increasing efforts and resources for the students. The mode of education is just a gateway to deliver knowledge and this has been proven by the success of these students.
