Background & Rationale
MANTHAN-Looking Within, Looking Beyond, a Corporate Training Program was organized for the participants of Sehdev Travels and Educational Services, Jalandhar. Mr. Narinder Singh Garcha, Assistant Director, Dr. Rahul Sharma, Associate Professor, Mr. Guneet Paul Singh, Assistant Professor, Dr. Harpreet Singh Bedi, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Rajesh Verma, Professor & Dean, Lovely Professional University were the key facilitators.
The schedule carried a multi-pronged approach that included ice-breaking session, inputs, group discussions, role plays, case-based analysis, team activities and presentations by the participants.
The Focus pointers were:
- Context Setting and Ice Breaker
- Organization’s Vision, Mission and Objectives
- The Growth Story
- Self-Awareness and Self-Management
- Field Assignment
The program began with context setting. Vision, mission and objectives of the organization and the role of each individual in the journey of success. The context setting included with the vision collage making activity. The subsequent modules focused on knowing our strengths, self-awareness, SWOT Analysis, Time Management and Stress Management. Various practical case lets were used for group deliberations. Through experiential learning,role-plays and presentations the participants were engaged and a road map for the organization’s vision and mission was drafted. Group Field Assignment was given for the participants, with presentations on the same in the next session.
The program received active participation of members from Sehdev Travels and Educational Services, Jalandhar. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Experts, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study tours and content delivery. The participants observed that the program was outcome oriented and gave them new insights on the topic.
