More than 12,000 Regular and Distance Education students of 2015 batch will receive degrees and diplomas. Ph D Scholars, 24 gold Medalists, and 173 toppers will also be honoured.
Right Hon’ble Prime Minister of Lesotho Kingdom Dr Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili will be the Chief Guest at 5th Convocation of Lovely Professional University scheduled for Saturday, 31st October 2015 at 11 am. PM Mosisili will be accompanied by a high profile 23-member delegation including the First Lady of the Kingdom Mrs Mathato Mosisili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon Tlohang Sekhamane. PM Mosisili will honour gold medalists and toppers of various LPU academic programs. On the same day, ‘Honoris Causa’ Doctorate Degree of LPU will also be conferred on PM Mosisili. Governor Punjab & Haryana, and the Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki will also grace the occasion.

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said that the visit of Lesotho Kingdom’s Prime Minister and delegation is of great importance and mutual benefit to both LPU in India and Lesotho Kingdom in Africa. During mutual interactions and discussions various fruitful collaborative efforts are being anticipated as the vast delegation comprises the hon’ble commissioner, and many consular ministers and secretaries of the Kingdom. Including this first phase of the two-phased 5th LPU Convocation, near 20100 regular and distance education students will receive degrees and diplomas. Along with Ph D Scholars, 24 gold Medalists, and 173 toppers will also be honoured in both the phases. The schedule of Phase II of the convocation will be announced later on.
