“Curiosity is, in great and generous minds, the first passion and the last.”
― Samuel Johnson, Works of Samuel Johnson
Being conscious, one of the roots of pure conscience, comes in many shapes and sizes. These are people offer compliments just for the emotional well-being of others or share what they have without expecting anything in return. Their sense of civility is what drives them to act considerately and they are no ordinary people.
They like simple definitions. Civility really is a broad term for them, as compared to being considerate. Civility is simply being nice, and it’s not only an attitude of benevolence, thoughtfulness and relating to other individuals. They entail a real, active interest in the well-being of communities and concern for the health of the planet. They worry about the issues we never think of twice. They never stop without knowing their ‘consciousnesses. Most importantly, they really make an effort in order to be understand the possibility of knowledge and gain from it. And being conscious is a part of being a consciously active living being that regards the social and personal aspects of life.
They take passive approach in behaving with consideration toward others and often stem from subconscious nature rather than intentional actions. They harbor a sense of empathy and they actually put it into action. They are not only capable of figuratively putting themselves in other people’s shoes but also actively choose to view a world beyond themselves. Their sense of compassion drives them to connect, and they derive personal joy and satisfaction from this selfless exchange. Selflessness can be a double-edged sword for conscious people. While prioritizing others’ needs over their own makes them happy and creates a sense of fulfilment for them. We often lose our ability to take care of ourselves first when necessary and say “no.” However, they strike that balance which is just as important as being considerate in the first place. Patience is far from a conscious characteristic. It can be difficult to come by especially when they feel stressed, overwhelmed, and surrounded everywhere by impatience. However, they possess the capability to make it a reason to find a sense of motivation and work on it. It means that they don’t regret their actions. Being conscious means they apologize when they have made a mistake and apologizing when they think you’ve made a mistake.
They are soul searchers and real people with the understanding of the world. They know black and white, light and dark and everything beyond this platonic world. They are those who actually live and die, knowing it all.
