LPU School of Agriculture organized a 2-day National Conference on Agricultural Sustainability and Food & Nutrition Security(SAFNS 2018). The Conference was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal, Worthy Pro-Chancellor Mrs. Rashmi Mittal, Former DDG, ICAR Dr. JS Sandhu, and Director, ICAR Dr. RK Gupta along with scientists from across the country and other LPU dignitaries.
The event saw massive participation from researchers, scholars, engineers, policy-makers, agri-process industries(Food processing industries), students and those related to the field of agricultural sciences. The conference turned new pages in the realm of agriculture as stimulating discussions were held on agriculture, food processing, and nutrition. Professionals from the field put forward the challenges faced in producing superior quality food in optimum quantity and also discussed the solutions and their implementation.
