Lovely Professional University’s YouthVibe 2023, a global open fest celebrating equity, diversity, and inclusivity, was a grand success, attracting thousands of students from over 20 universities. The fest, featuring more than 50 activities, three consecutive invited performers’ nights, and a pop music culture convention, was a true carnival of talent, culture, and entertainment.
The opening ceremony was graced by notable personalities, including Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, Asia’s first trans-man body-builder Aryan Pasha; winner of Miss PTC Punjabi-2022 award Jaspreet Singh Kaur; India’s most versatile model Nisha Yadav, and senior officials of the International Model of United Nations (IMUN). The fest was inaugurated with the theme of “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity,” with a slogan of “Diversity- embrace it, share it, celebrate it.”
The fest hosted competitions under various categories, including literary, music, dance, sports/esports, lifestyle, and social events. Participants showcased their skills and talents, from argumentative debates to melodious performances, from rock shows to cricket matches, from dancing to singing, and from gala star nights to global summits of social challenges.
The fest also highlighted the importance of inclusivity and diversity, with a cricket match series for trans-persons of six states, judged by Laxmi Narayan Tripathi and Aryan Pasha. The event also included the Supercar Drift Show, organized by the Exotic Cars Club J-town, featuring luxury cars such as G-Wagon, Lexus, BMW, Porsche, Range Rover, Mustang-GT, Audi, Mercedes, and more.
The fest also had unique stalls, including spray painting and clay pot making by sophomore students. The spirit and enthusiasm of the participants were commendable, and the unity shown was remarkable. The fest concluded with a battle of the bands, showcasing the diversity of musical talent among the youth.
YouthVibe 2023 was a true celebration of the power of diversity and inclusivity, showcasing the talents and skills of youth from diverse backgrounds. The fest served as a platform to learn and share ideas from a diverse set of experiences and backgrounds, inspiring the youth to be better individuals.
