LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences and LPU HRDC are organizing a workshop on Quantitative Data Analysis and Statistical Design of Scientific Experiments. Quantitative Data analysis and statistical designing are two of the most important strategic issues of any scientific experimentation. In today’s world of science, very few issues are clear-cut and without ambiguity. In order to understand and form an opinion about any scientific issue, one must usually gather data. To comprehend information from data, one must know something about statistics, which is the art of learning from data.
This workshop will give you the understanding of the statistical design of scientific experiments. The workshop will enable the participants to comprehend the fundamental concepts of experimental design used to write unique mathematical models describing the scientific experiments. The mathematical models will help in analyzing the data using computer programs: R and SPSS. Participant shall design a statistical model for his/her science project that will help in a deeper understanding of the scientific approach to the design and analysis of the scientific experiments related to their research.
