Lovely Professional University is hosting the Bioscope Global Film Festival 2016 from 8th to 12th November. During this five day long festival, 22 movies, in regional languages, will be screened at the following locations:
1. 14 Block – 101L
2. 29 Block — 402
3. Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium
4. 25 Block – 105
On the last day of this festival the Punjabi Cine Awards will be held, with a special performance by a famous Punjabi singer.
The Bioscope Global Film Festival is independent cinema’s biggest platform for filmmakers who have not let others’ opinions change their dreams. This event will serve a great opportunity for students to learn about the different cultures of India and how these are represented in regional cinema. These movies are based on the realities of life and will familiarize students to cinema that is untarnished by modern day effects and glamour. At the end of each movie, students will get the chance to interact with the director and crew of the film. This is an amazing opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to learn from professionals and experts in the field.
