Unlike many when it comes to employment in public sector, LPU alumnus Chonbemo Murry of 2018 batch was quick enough to get selected right months after his post-graduation as Sub-Inspector (SI), Fire & Emergency Services, under the Government of Nagaland. It is the highest rank that can be recruited through the state’s departmental recruitment.
After his selection, in December 2018, he had undergone 6 months of in-service training at the Regional Training Centre, Fire & Emergency Service, North Guwahati, where he did outstanding performances. On the passing out parade, he was honoured with the awards of “1st Position in Indoor & Outdoor Activities” and “Best Turn-out”.
He studied M.A. (Political Science) from Lovely Professional University. For persistent and dedicated Murry, it’s not an overnight success nor a wonder for people close to him; during his study in university, he was even adjudged as the highest academic attendance holder amongst the community (Naga Students’ Union Phagwara 2018)!
