Background & Rationale
Manthan-Looking Beyond, Looking Within, a Corporate Training Program was organized at Lovely Professional University for Gee Kay International. Mr. Ankur Sodhi, Assistant Professor, Dr. Rajesh Verma, Professor, Ms. Sunaina Ahuja, Associate Professor & Dy. Dean and Mr. Suresh Kumar, Associate Professor & Dy. Dean, Lovely Professional University were the key facilitators.
The Focus pointers were:
- Context Setting and Ice Breaker
- Organization’s Vision, Mission and Objectives
- Self-Awareness and Self-Management
- Effective Communication and listening skills
- Conflict Resolution and management
- The principles of DecisionMaking
- The Road Ahead
The program began with context setting and vision, mission and objectives of the organization and the role of each individual in the journey of success. The context-setting included the vision collage-making activity. The subsequent modules focused on knowing our strengths, self-awareness, SWOT Analysis, Time Management and Stress Management. Various practical case lets were used for group deliberations. The importance of active listening skills and effective communication were emphasized through experiential learning. Role-plays and presentations engaged the participants to demonstrate conflict resolution techniques and decision-making skills. A road map for the organization’s vision and the mission was drafted.
The program received the active participation of 18 members from Gee Kay International, Jalandhar. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Experts, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study tours, industry interactions, and content delivery. The participants observed that the program was outcome-oriented and gave them new insights on the topic.
