Seeing the situation of farmers, farm produce, and allied businesses in the country, LPU alumna Nitika Rajput (Bhatia) has created a common ‘Online Platform’ that will connect farmers, traders, and manufacturers who are engaged in the diverse farming fields. She has risen to the occasion with her revolutionizing Start-up ‘Agrohub India’ to transform agriculture scenario in the country. Presently, a lot of manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and innovative farmers are connected on the portal, as per their requirements.
LPU’s Batch 2012-16, BTech CSE Pass out, Nitika is Founder & CEO of the start-up, and is performing on positive notes for strengthening collaborations between the agriculture community and industry. Considered as India’s first ‘Business-to-Business-to-Consumer (B2B2C)’ portal, the platform connects all concerned ones in an easy way. It is making Indian agriculture market grow digitally world-wide for all-round prosperity of the farmers.
As Nitika originally belongs to Ludhiana (Punjab), she always had connection with the fields, farmers and the ways farmers work hard day-night to produce food for the community. In spite of having many lucrative job offers, she resolved to help the farmers community and worked hard to start this ‘start-up’ from scratch for future growth. Through her website Nitika connects machinery manufacturers, seeds producers, fertilizer manufacturers, farmers, dealers from all parts of the country on a single platform. All of them can buy or sell all kinds of agricultural goods and produce through the ‘Agrohub India’ portal.
Nitika shares, “Apart from creating business, I always had a vision to do good for the society as well. The key to a successful nation lies in empowering the farmers with modern technology. In this age of digitalisation, we are working towards building the connection between agriculture manufacturers with their respective clients through digital marketing. Being an Agrohub partner, farmers/manufacturers can publicise their products to a billion plus users. A client can view & choose a product from several options available on the portal. On these lines, the farming community is needed to be educated for excellence. And, through ‘Agrohub’, this community can be facilitated with the best machinery, pesticides, and quality seeds at best prices.”
Founder Nitika is also happy that with this company she will even be able to provide a lot of jobs to the people of the country. She is also looking forward to placements from her alma-mater LPU as well.
