The world is changing by leaps and bounds. There is a dire need for the new generations to understanding these changes and put their best foot forward in this world. To do this, the professionals need to ace some skills to be successful people. 

To upskill the country’s youth, AIESEC in Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Division of Student Welfare, Lovely Professional University, organized an all-in-one workshop called Youth-Skillup Summit sponsored by Red Bull on 12th July 2021. There were five topics in this workshop: Stocks and Cryptocurrency, Entrepreneurship, Career Guidance, Urban Farming, and Personal Branding.

The first workshop was taken by Mr. Saurabh Jain, an educator, Founder of Fun2doLabs, and writer. He worked for Reliance, an instructor. His journey was an inspirational rollercoaster that transitioned from startups, tech to business. He asked people to introspect to get hold of their career and life through the concept of IKIGAI.

The second workshop was taken by CA Anamika Rana. She transitioned her career and became a financial and spiritual coach. She provided an investment guide, gave practical demos, and took all the doubts of the young investors. There was an excellent discussion on subjects like cryptocurrency, portfolio diversification, compounding, etc.

The third workshop about Entrepreneurship was taken by Mr. Ron Malhotra, who emphasized entrepreneurship over a corporate job. He had to leave education at an early stage of his life, motivating to hear about that. He talked about thought leadership and made it clear that the primary objective of an entrepreneur should be social change. He directed the young minds to be mentally tough, have a growth mindset, and be unique.

The next workshop was on Personal Branding by Ms. Dhairya Gangwani, a content creator, management personnel, and keynote speaker. She changed the thinking of the people who had an aversion towards social media. She said it is all about putting yourself out there, letting people know what you stand for, your values, and your image. She said it is easier to find your passion when you see your USP (Unique Selling Point).

The last but the most exciting workshop was on Urban Farming. Mrs. Vani Murthy, the founder of Member SWMRT Composting Enthusiast and Compost Farmer, gave practical tips for this prominent art that will be the new boom in the farming industry. It was a hands-on session.

In the end, all these workshops gave the attendees insights into a lot of fields.
