Background & Rationale
The program focused on successful implementation of the Energy Conservation Code 2017. It requires development of compliance procedures (compliance forms and development of field-test compliance forms and procedures), in addition to building capacity of architects/designers/builders/contractors and government official in States and Urban and Local Bodies (ULBs). It is also dependent on availability of materials and equipment that meet or exceed performance specifications specified in ECBC. This workshop was a step towards this direction.
LPU-HRDC has established uniqueness through its world class pedagogy and nurturing faculty in achieving career goals. The University recognizes the importance of imparting quality training on updated technologies, emerging trends and latest software. Subject Matter Experts of national and international repute are invited to spearhead the Corporate Training Programs.
Awareness Programme on Energy Conservation Code 2017 received active participation of professionals from PAN India. The program aimed at enabling architects, builders and civil engineers to understand the ECBC 2017 building compliance approach.The resource panel consisted of Ar. Vivek Sehgal, Associate Professor,Ar. Nagendra Narayan, Associate Professor, Mr. Kushagra Juneja, ECBC Master Trainer, and Co-founder, Design2Occupancy.
The Program was spread over three sessions in which participants were coached with respect to Awareness Program on Energy Conservation Code 2017.
There was a rich mix of individual and team activities making the program interesting and interactive. The deliberations stimulated self-learning amongst the participants who actively participated in the program. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Expert, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study material and content delivery. They were also impressed by the subject expertise of the resource person(s).
The participants observed that the program was outcome oriented and gave them new insights on the topic. It was relevant for enhancement in quality ofteaching. It was crafted to meet the training needs stated by the client. LPU-HRDC is committed to provide tailor made Professional Development Programs for the corporate sector. These training programs also help in strengthening industry-academia relations thus opening new vistas of mutual collaboration.
