Quality Circle Forum of India(QCFI), which is the only body in India to award 5 ‘S’ Certificate, jointly with Union of Japanese Scientists & Engineers (JUSE), organised its 5th ‘Convention on Quality Concept’ at Lovely Professional University.

The Convention:

The convention was organised for the Punjab, Himachal and J&K Region, in which senior officials from 40 industries including Hero Moto Corp, Hero Cycles, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, JCB India, Nerolac Paints, Swaraj Engines, NTPC, Gabriel India, Indian Oil, Blue Star, Motherson Group, Bharat Electronics, Sandhar Group, Auto Fit and more participated actively. Creating value to the society, detailed presentations on quality concepts were made in eight Halls of the University for the benefit of the students.

What the Chief Guest said:

The Chief Guest at the convention was LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal was welcomed by the COO at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium. LPU Chancellor, Mr. Mittal thanked the organisation for reposing faith in the university for organising this event. He appreciated the efforts of the forum not only in the country but 12 more nations. While inviting the forum to have their office at LPU campus, Mr Mittal also suggested the officials of the forum to commence according accreditation in the education sector for bringing out the best ones for the industry. On this occasion, Director of Hero Cycles Mr Abhishek Munjal and President of JCB India Mr YS Hooda were also present as Guests of Honour.

The Chief Operating Officer at event, Col Dr KG Sharma, said, “The motive of the forum is to provide quality concepts to industry, education sector and the society.” He also assured full support to LPU in forwarding such valuable concepts to the hard-working students of the university. Besides this, the Vice Chairman of QFCI-DC, Mr NP Chandoke appreciated the university for trying to instil huge valued culture in students.
