Preparation without knowing the type of exam might go futile. When you sit for MCQ exam make sure you keep one pencil along. In case you get stuck on any question, use pencil to mark the possibly correct option, which later can be considered again.

Read the question carefully.  First try to answer the question in your mind, without looking at the options. This might help avoid confusion.

After understanding the question, look into the options. Read the options slowly and clearly, keeping in mind the perspective of the question.

In any case read all the options. Make sure you don’t miss “all the above” or “none of these” options to avoid any regrets later. Highlight the options that you feel are correct or mark True or False against each option. Narrow down the options by eliminating the false options.

When you are left with the options which are precisely right, it becomes easier to guess the right option.
