Students enjoyed the performances of their favourite music stars…(at) the inaugural show of Cross Blade, the largest Punjabi Musical Tour in the country…
One of the biggest names in Punjabi entertainment world, Diljit Dosanjh and other world-famous Punjabi pop stars rocked LPU at the largest live Punjabi music and dance festival hosted by LPU at its campus. Singing star Diljit was accompanied by Dr. Zeus, Jassi Gill, Babbal Rai, Prabh Gill, and A-Kay. Students enjoyed the performances of their favourite music stars, singing along with them and dancing to their beats. This marked the inaugration of Cross Blade, the largest Punjabi Musical tour in the country, which shall now tour different locations throughout India.
Welcoming the great artists to the campus, LPU Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said, “We are proud and happy to host the start of ‘Cross Blade’ on our campus in Jalandhar. I wish that the performers are always successful in their endeavours and keep on motivating students towards ‘Punjabiyat’.” Mr Mittal added, “I aam sure the students will have imbibed much from the live performances, which were highly entertaining and awe-inspiring.”
Diljit presented his all-time hits, from ‘Soorma punjab nu belong karda’, to ‘Main Fan Bhagat Singh Da’, and even ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da’, ‘Aaja Bhangra Pa Laiye’, and ‘Channa Door Hi Na Hojin’ amongst others. Whereas, Dr Zeus presented ‘Kangna’, Jassi Gill performed ‘Pyar Mera’; and the crowd even got to dance to Prabh Gill’s ‘Pehli Vaar.’
Diljit, famous for ‘Jatt & Juliet’, one of the an award-winning mega hit of the Punjabi film industry, thanked LPU students, “I extend my thanks to all the students who kept watching and listening to our performances for hours together. I’m glad to live up to the expectations of you all, and your faith in me.”
