So, we all are aware of the theme for the 10th ONE WORLD i.e. INVENTIONS AND INNOVATIONS. Each school has represented their countries’ journey from ancient traditions to the latest innovations and technologies.
Let’s start from YEMEN:
Country Yemen, sometimes spelt Yaman, was represented by the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Yemen is a rural country in Southwest Asia. The most famous – the ‘Yemini coffee’ has a distinctive style of cultivation, shown by them.
Handmade utensils, funnel-shaped vessel, pottery-bowls showing old traditions of Yemen. And solar panel system was showing the technology to store the energy for future use.
INDONESIA
Indonesia is a land of mountains, dense forests, and beaches, represented by the School of Computer Applications. Indonesia has made a SPHERICAL LARGE GLOBE and marked the regions where Indonesian’s inventions are currently in use; A creative idea. For showcasing the ancient history, they have made their famous BALI paintings of the 13th century. BALI PAINTING is considered as holy.
CHINA
We all are familiar with this country not only for its Great Inventions in the field of Science and Technology but also, for its ‘The great wall of China’ which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. China was represented by the Mittal School of Business. They have designed the prototype of their famous WALL OF CHINA, Satellites they have launched recently and Printing Press.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE)
The United Arab Emirates was represented by the School of Chemical Engineering and Physical Sciences. Some famous monuments represented by them: Burj Khalifa – the tallest structure and building in the world (2722 feet) & Dubai Creek tower. They all were dressed in their traditional dresses of gown, burqa, and kerkusha which made the environment more realistic. Apart from this, they have shown the model of Artificial Dubai island – PALM ISLAND which is situated on the coast of Dubai. Other innovative models were Water distillation plants, drones, sucker rod pumps to withdraw minerals from the ground and ROBOT POLICE of Dubai.
NAMIBIA
Namibia is a country in Southern Africa represented by the Mittal School of Business. Most of the country is fully deserted and dry. They have decorated their walls with masks and dolls, where doll reflects spiritual and supernatural powers to which they worship. They have produced some outstanding paintings of Namib Deserts and mining and created an alluring dummy of a football ground.
NEPAL
“HEAVEN IS MYTH, NEPAL IS REAL’ – yes, it is there slogan and belief, represented by Directorate of Distance Education. Everyone has witnessed the thriller performance and taandav of Lord Shiva.
Paanighatta or (Water Grinding machine) is there innovative concept, which grinds with the help of the flow of water. They have made medical drones which provide first-aid in hilly areas, and a 3-dimensional structure of Mini-Nepal where they have located the important sites of the country and their recently launched Satellite NepaliSat-1.
BHUTAN
Bhutan is famous for its Buddhist Kingdom, represented by the Department of Physical Education. They have made Memorial stupa, Great Buddha Dordenma statue and
Punakha suspension bridge. Bhutan has made models on hydraulic power stations, and a replica of its recently launched Satellite, Bhutan-1.
ZIMBABWE
Zimbabwe represented by the School of Computer Science and Engineering. Considering the theme- Inventions and Innovations, they made a few models discovered in Zimbabwe. Vaccines storage refrigerator used to store the Chemicals and Vaccines to avoid the contact with the surroundings, Solar powered water cart model, which helps in transportation of water in Zimbabwe and Radar system, for safe landing of the planes and aircraft which is used by the Zimbabwe Military.
