Exam time can be quite stressful for every student whether in high school or college even if one is utterly prepared for the exams. This is the stress that prevents even a scholar from scoring well. Another reason for low performance can be the lack of preparation and an unhealthy routine. So, here some of the pro tips to master your exams:
Start early.
Don’t wait for the exams to start studying. Even why to wait for exams to study? You should study from day 1 of your classes but still if you haven’t, start at least a month before the exams so that you do not have to rush at the last hour.
Make and follow the timetable.
What we usually do is make a timetable that is too hard to follow. So make a timetable that is not too hard and has little breaks in it and stick to it.
Priority studying.
Divide your syllabus into 3 categories i.e.
- a) Definitely b) Probably c) Might comes
And study accordingly, focusing more on that will surely be there in the exam and a bit less which has very low chances of being asked.
Hero-villain-joker notes.
These notes can save you during the exams. It consists of 3 portions:
- Hero Part (i.e. main part)
- Villain Part (the tough part)
- Joker Part (the easiest part)
Divide the paper into these 3 parts in which hero is the biggest portion in which you write the most important points, in the villain part you write the part which you find tough and in joker part, mention the topics which are quite easy but important. These kinds of notes would help you in exams.
Practice Last year’s papers.
Practice as many last year or sample papers as you can. These will help you revise the entire syllabus and practice the exam pattern simultaneously.
Take short breaks.
Do not study continuously for hours or else you’ll get sick soon. Take frequent short breaks, which will help you to get time to process what you have studied.
Have a good sleep.
A good sound sleep is very important, especially during the exams. As everyone gets in a lot of stress and become anxious eventually, good night sleep can help you cope up with that.
