It is the problem with most of us as what to pursue and what not to when it comes to career. We can’t precisely figure out on which path to proceed for; there are many things we want to do in limited time.
Then let’s ponder over some aspects which will help us to deal with this situation effectively.
Motivation and interest matters
While you may like to become an entrepreneur or an innovator but if you haven’t got the motivation to face the difficulties then my friend, you should consider dropping that idea. The very first thing that matters while choosing your work is that you love it and it drives you.
You can’t do everything
A little sadistic reality is that even if you have a fervour to do a lot of things you still have to cut short the list to suit your potential. As quoted by Warren Buffet that after you have made your wish list, start eliminating options one by one until you have reduced the list to 5 goals (maybe 3 for you) that really matter for you.
So, the essence is to do tasks that are most worthy then only you’d become really productive.
You will be swayed
More often than not, it seems attractive as to what others are doing and believe me, this factor alone is enough to divert you from your path before you achieve something worthwhile.
You will be showered upon by opinions and advice but remember that while you may take into account all these opinions, your final decision should be the one genuinely coming without any external pressure.
Have a crystal-clear understanding of what you want to do
Another problem associated while pursuing a goal is to merely dive into it out of ardour without doing enough research, planning, and vision which ultimately becomes a reason for many to leave their goals midway. It’s not expected that you know everything about what you are doing but that should not be taken as an excuse to ignore this crucial aspect.
At last, my personal piece of advice to every one of you would be to act smartly and swiftly for we live in a world of competition where quality usage of time matters a lot (in fact everything).
