LPU’s Founder Chancellor & MP Rajya Sabha Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, had a meeting with the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, at his residence in Delhi. Dr. Mittal conveyed his warmest wishes to the Hon’ble Vice President during the meeting for the upcoming Diwali festivities. He also had the opportunity to update the Vice President on various activities at the university, particularly highlighting LPU’s endeavour to promote sports and academics on a global scale.
Dr. Mittal proudly shared the remarkable achievements of LPU students in the recent Asian Games. He mentioned that LPU student athletes made a significant contribution to India’s best-ever performance in the Games, securing a total of 12 medals, including 4 gold medals.
Additionally, Dr. Mittal shared the recent remarkable rankings awarded by the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2024). LPU secured the 1st position in Social Sciences, 2nd position in Physical Sciences and Business and Economics, 3rd position in Engineering, 5th position in Clinical & Health, and 9th position in Computer Science and Life Sciences across different categories. He further shared that LPU has been awarded the highest grade of ‘A++’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), achieving a score of 3.68 on a 4-point scale.
Hon’ble Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar expressed his satisfaction regarding the university’s growth and extended his Diwali greetings to Dr. Ashok Mittal and all the University (LPU) students. Recognizing the university’s dedication and hard work, the Vice President commended the university’s achievements in various fields, including academics, sports, and extracurricular activities.
