LPU achieved record-breaking placement in 2022

* For the 2022 batch, the highest package for engineering stood at 62.72 lakhs

* Despite a difficult market scenario, the 2022 highest package marks a 50% increase from the previous year’s highest of Rs 42 lakh

* Setting yet another benchmark; 8400+ offers extended to students of various programs of the 2022 batch

* 5000+ offers extended by Fortune 500 Companies in the recent years

Continuing its legacy of unbeatable placement records, Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated its annual event ‘Placement Day-2022’ at the campus. Thousands of the placed students as well as their proud parents, mentors and teachers participated in the celebrations. The Division of Career Services and Centre of Professional Enhancement at LPU organized the event.

LPU has once again registered one of the highest numbers of placement offers as well as the highest package record in the country for the year 2022. An alumnus from the B Tech class of 2018, Yasir M has been working at a record-breaking package of Rs 3 Crore in Germany. Perhaps, it is one of the highest packages received by any of the recent years’ alumni of India.

Another alumnus from the B Tech class of 2020, Harekrishna Mahto is placed with Google at a package of Rs 64 Lacs. One of the world’s top AI (Artificial Intelligence) domain companies has recruited LPU B Tech. CSE 2022 batch student, Arjun, at INR 62.72 Lakh. This is one of the highest packages received by any fresher student. With this, LPU has broken its own record, as this package is nearly 1.5 times (50%) higher than the previous year’s highest of INR 42 Lakh for a fresher.

Setting yet another benchmark; 8400+ offers have been extended to students of various programs of the 2022 batch; and, 5000+ offers are extended by Fortune 500 Companies in the recent years.

Similarly, the highest salary package secured by students from the current batch, yet to graduate in the summer of 2023, is Rs 54.75 Lacs; and, the highest monthly internship stipend offered is Rs 1.6 Lac now.  The recruiter Amazon has also hired LPU students at the package of INR 46.4 Lakh. Earlier, Google also selected an LPU student at INR 48 Lakh.  455 students have been placed in packages between 10 Lacs to 62.72 Lacs from class of 2022, 2021; where, 18 students are placed at CTC Rs 40 Lacs or above; and, 32 students have been placed at CTC Rs 30-40 Lacs from the class of 2021 and 2022.

Celebrating the occasion, a one-kilometre-long procession was held at the campus, which comprised proud students, their parents, and teachers. Placed students were seen holding placards with remarkable slogans- “I Made a Difference; I am Verto, I am Invictus; I toiled, I triumphed; and many others. This culminated at the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the University for a Grand cake-cutting Ceremony.

LPU students have been hired by 2000+ recruiters, including top national and multinational companies; of these, 350+ recruiters of IITs/IIMs/NITs also hire from LPU; and, 25+ recruiters are offering international placements and internships. Marquee recruiters like Cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, MPhasis, Accenture and Lead Squared among others offered differential packages up to INR 10 lakh.

Placed students shared in common that while being at LPU they got exposed to new-age technology like AI, and ML amid peers from all across the country & the world. This exposure and mentorship helped them to get coveted opportunities with top global brands. Along with Yasir, many other LPU students are also working at 1 crore and above packages in companies like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mercedes and other Fortune 500 companies across the globe.
