Lovely Professional University hosted a massive corporate training program in collaboration with Training Partner-Times Professional Learning, TPL a division of Bennett Coleman and Company Ltd. Titled, ‘End User Training on Finacle 10.X’ benefitting approx. 1000 UCO Bank Officials in 8 batches. The training was aimed at capacity building for successful migration to the latest version of Finacle 10.X.

The training started on a very enlightening note with a virtual inaugural session of the pilot batch on January 11, 2021. The inaugural session was graced by the top officials from UCO Bank, Lovely Professional University and Times Professional Learning. After the customary opening, the context and expectation setting was done by none other than Mr. Atul Kumar Goel, Managing Director/CEO of UCO Bank Ltd. He advised the participants to utilize the learning opportunity wisely so that the bank is customer ready by June 2021. Picking up from where Mr. Atul left, the Executive Director of UCO Bank, Mr. Ajay Vyas spelled out the service strategy to for customer delight. Mr. Arun Kabra, CFO, Times Professional Learning in a very impressive manner highlighted the competencies of the organization catering to all segments and strata of society vis a vis the learning needs and training strategy. He also talked about the importance of the role of partner institutions that are instrumental in creating a congenial learning environment for the participants. He also congratulated Lovely Professional University on training readiness especially in the context of prevailing pandemic situation.

On behalf of Lovely Professional University, Executive Dean, Dr. D. Buddhi, welcoming the participants, briefly shared inputs on the state-of-the-art infrastructure, technical competencies and learning eco system at LPU. The head of Human Resource Development Center, LPU Prof. Dr. Sunaina Ahuja appreciated the vision of UCO bank and investment made in empowering the officers, managers and senior functionaries in embracing the change. She acknowledged the trust and corporate culture exhibited in structuring the training program of UCO officials across India and assured the participants of a congenial environment at LPU campus. Dr. Ahuja appreciated the prompt collaboration by Times Professional Learning team lead by Sh. Anil Tripathi, Business Head – Corporate Training, who was available round the clock for proactive arrangements and spontaneous trouble shooting, which played an instrumental role in kickstarting the program. 

Thereafter, she introduced the organizing team and the role of each team member starting with Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Dy. Dean HRDC the Program Coordinator. He conducted an ice breaking session to build connect and bonding with the participants.

Thereafter he informed the participants regarding the prevalent norms and guidelines expected to be adhered during training and stay on campus. He highlighted the thrilling campus experience marked by cultural evenings, campus tour, auspicious day celebrations for making learning engaging and entertaining.

The subsequent batches also experienced the same warmth, learning facilities and friendly LPU environment. The unanimous feedback shared by all the batches stated that the collaborative efforts of Lovely Professional University and Times Professional Learning have matched the client’s expectations and also surpassed in some aspects. The role of all involved right from the Lab layout design, installation, connectivity, logistics, residential facility, hospitality, cultural evenings, campus tours, and training delivery was categorically defined as commendable.
