The opening ramp show was a special highlight, and the LPU designers put in their best efforts to ensure an impressive first show. The students explored themes like sustainability and experimented with different techniques and weaves, earning accolades from the show’s attendees.

LPU’s Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal praised the students for presenting their ensembles at the event, which provided them with global exposure and hands-on experience.

Fashion students of LPU regularly participate at renowned platforms like DTFW, where they can showcase their skills and talent. This year, 22 LPU students participated in the event, alongside top designers and brands like Siddartha Tytler, Marks & Spencer, and Cantabil.

The show also featured renowned Bollywood actors including Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Seal, who walked the ramp during the later phase of the event.

The DTFW proved to be a great platform for LPU students to interact with the branded names from the fashion fraternity. The students were specifically invited to present their sustainable designs at the event, and this was their third participation in the annual show. Later this year, they will participate in the Chandigarh Times Fashion Week for a full show in September 2023, marking a significant milestone for LPU’s budding fashion designers.
