Celebrating Govt of India’s “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is undertaking Clean India Program. Taking part in the same, LPU NCC Cadets launched Swachhata Abhiyan, where they cleaned premises of various schools & colleges, parks, roads, etc. It was great to see them acting as ambassadors of cleanliness, and we are sure that this will motivate others to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
To celebrate the magnificent history of people, culture, and achievements, and also to celebrate 75 years of progressive India, the Government of India launched the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This Mahotsav is also dedicated to those people who have the power and potential to enable the vision of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to activate India 2.0 fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence began on March 12 and will culminate on August 15, 2023. The Mahotsav encapsulates everything that is based on growing India’s socio-culture, political, and economic identity. We dedicate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to all of those who have played a role in bringing glory to the nation and brought India this far in its evolutionary journey. We thank you for your contribution.
“Such an important national holiday always reminds us of our duty towards the nation and the youth,” LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal said. “We, too, work hard to meet these goals in various ways, like representing India in the Olympics, disseminating timely knowledge, creating unity in diversity, and engaging in CSR initiatives in the face of severe COVID 19, among other things. We always push our pupils to be authentic representations of national heritage along these lines.”
Students were also motivated to engage in several additional virtual programmes on national spirit and values on this eve. The Ministry of Tourism and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) hosted a patriotic national webinar on ‘Dekho Apna Desh,’ which drew many students. On 17 August 2017, LPU streamed a 20-minute film titled ‘India@75 – A Journey’. LPU students took the National Quiz based on the film after watching it to earn national recognition. Another event was the live poetry presentation ‘Azadi Ki Kavya Dhara,’ which inspired the strongest patriotic feelings in the students.
