In the era of the Millennials and Gen Z, where the world is undergoing rapid changes & transformation, the youth has turned out to be the new face of society. And, we are proud to share that our Vertos have made Lovely Professional University shine globally once again, and this time it’s Big!! In the campaign, “UNITE 2030: YOUTH ACTION FOR BETTER WORLD,” one of our students, Mr. Sm Sammam Sakti Ibn Sahadat, has unlocked the title of ‘The Most Aspiring Youth Activist and Global Youth Leader.’
As stated by Robert F. Kennedy, “This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for the adventure of the life of ease.” And, today’s youth is passionate, resilient, focused, action-oriented, care for the world around them, and are working towards a better tomorrow, a tomorrow with change. Citing the above qualities in youth, the UN, in 2015, visualized a world and developed a list of 17 goals to be a ‘blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.’ They believe that young people hold the key to achieving the Global Goals by 2030, but only if united as a generation to take action.
“UNITE 2030: YOUTH ACTION FOR BETTER WORLD” is a campaign started by the UN in association with many reputable organizations around the world to achieve sustainable development goals under the UNITE 2030. The campaign focused on achieving global goals by 2030 inspired 12000+ changemakers from 32+ countries, 1800+ universities, and colleges to take 1000+ actions and change the world.
Mr. Sm Sammam Sakti Ibn Sahadat, B.Tech-ME, was the only student from Lovely Professional University to take part in this campaign and bring laurels to the university. Sammam unlocked the title of ‘The Most Aspiring Youth Activist and Global Youth Leader’ by engaging in the maximum number of actions and activities (90+) under the campaign. He will be now leading 32+ countries, 250+ Youth Leaders in September 2021 as “The Most Aspiring Youth Activist of the World,” and will be representing LPU in New York, USA.
We congratulate Sm Sammam Sakti Ibn Sahadat on his remarkable achievement and wish him the best for his future endeavors.
