LPU has always been known for its students excelling in the sports department whether it’s hockey, cricket, badminton, kabaddi, wrestling, taekwondo, or javelin throw, everything has been a success! It will be an honor if the chapter of LPU students participating in the Olympics and winning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for our country is reintroduced in this article as it will always remain a big mark in history of LPU! Not just that, several students have been selected in Pro-kabaddi league by a few teams where they’ll be seen in action soon on Star Sports. In the past week, we have witnessed the women and men Kho-Kho team of LPU securing a Gold medal in the Senior State Championship held in Punjab doubling our pride!

Now another LPU student who is already a national sensation, Himanshi Antil won the Bronze medal at the third Asian Taekwondo Open Championship held in Tehran, Iran and has raised our tricolor on an international stage! Not just taekwondo, she is also specialized in karate, kickboxing, and martial arts boxing and plays a role in motivating people by giving them fitness goals. She also runs a podcast where she shares her success story about the way she evolved making taekwondo her career and her aim to make this sport reach new heights. She admits the role of her mother for shaping her the way she is, pushing her towards a successful life, and making an ‘underdog-sport’ a part of her life.
