Event Management can be very tricky. In fact, many people opt for hiring event managers rather than going through the hustle themselves. Event Managers are experienced, they know their job and know from where to choose the best. The LPU Vertos thought differently and designed an event manager that can fit in your hand.

What the App does:

The Mobile App, ‘Land Scape’ launched under “Blue-hawks Event Management and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.” helps manage events efficiently. The app acts a platform from where one can choose from among hundreds of vendors rather than relying on quite a few. A common man can easily plan and execute events like marriage or a party. Besides common man, corporate houses can organise meetings and seminars on the go with just a few clicks.

The Motivation:

Since September 18, 2016, when LPU StartUp School was inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, many students have come up with ideas for startups. This time, this StartUp idea of designing an event management app was given by final year students Pushkar Kumar of Mechanical Engineering and Hasan Rahman of Electronics and Communication Engineering. This StartUp idea is now listed among the 134 selected entities on StartUp India website and has recognition from the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with certificate number: DIPP 365.

What the Students who Developed App Say:

Pushkar, who hails from Dhanbad in Jharkhand, said “Coming thousands of miles away from my home town here, I learnt how to plan, conduct, and manage numerous events and got encouraged to be an entrepreneur. When I and Hasan were planning to form an innovative event management company, by connecting the present event industry with technology, Startup India campaign was inaugurated which further boosted up our dream.”

Hasan, who is a resident of Assam, said, “We applied on the official website of Startup India, our application was vetted by Inter Ministerial Board (IMB) for its uniqueness and novelty, and we were issued a certificate. Our company is listed on the ‘Startup India’ website of the Government of India.”
