We are elated to inform you that LPU student, Dipshikha Baruah was appointed to officiate at the Open Qualification Tournament for Wuxi 2022 WT Grand Slam Champions series. It is an international taekwondo competition that unites all the athletes who performed extraordinarily that year at various international competitions.

Dipshikha Baruah is pursuing her doctorate in Physical education from the School of Physical Education. Due to her unwavering dedication to the sport, she holds the rank of “Black Belt 3rd Dan” in taekwondo. Recently, World Taekwondo has selected her for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games International Referee Selection and Training Camp for Asia and Oceania. She also attended three-day training in Uzbekistan. While Belgium will host the camp for Europe and Africa, Mexico will host the Pan-American camp.

Dipshikha has won nine gold medals at various championships and is currently at “Level 2 International Coach of Taekwondo” licensed by World Taekwondo (WT). Dipshikha is also one of the first females from her home state, Assam to become an International Referee of Taekwondo. In addition to all this, she is also a yoga expert and freelance model.
