India’s leading Tata Group organized the largest Campus Quiz ‘Tata Crucible Quiz-2020’ at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of Lovely Professional University on March 3, 2020. In this 16th Edition of the Quiz for its Jalandhar-Regional Finals, LPU students’ two teams made to the final round. Since 2015, Tata Group has been organizing this regional round for the last five consecutive years at our campus.
Organized annually throughout the country by Tata Group in different steps by traversing across 40 cities, one of the city competitions of the quiz is conducted at LPU for the state of Punjab. Out of 600+ teams, those participated in the preliminary round, six teams, including two teams of LPU, had competed in the final round.
LPU students’ teams of Harshit & Shivam and of Rishab & Rounak made applauding, prompt and penetrating answers to Asia’s ace quiz-master Giri BalaSubramaniam aka Pickbrain and Ms Rashmi’s corporate knowledge quizzing. LPU Director General Er HR Singla honoured the proven brilliant minds at the Quiz. Expressing his gratitude towards ‘LPU’, Mr Pickbrain praised the university for providing great infrastructure and assistance in holding the grand live show running in parallel.
From fostering international understanding through internship programmes to promote social entrepreneurship, Tata group engages with the youth through various initiatives. Being one of these, Tata Crucible Quiz is aimed at bringing together the sharpest young minds to take on the toughest quizzing across Asia.
