As we informed you quite a few days back six LPU students have won the North Zone Regional Skill Competition 2021 and are stepping forward to participate in the India Skills Competition 2022 and win a national medal. Seems like the students of Lovely Professional University are pretty well aware of the reputation our university holds and made sure they don’t end up disappointing us and live up to our expectations. They also made sure that we continue to make records on regional, national, and international platforms in different fields from sports and cultural to academic aspects.
The students of LPU namely Gagan Bisen (Wall and Floor Tiling), Pankaj G. (Industry 4.0), Priyanka (Graphic Design Technology), Logesh B. (IT Network System Administration), Shashi Ranjan (Print Media Technology), Ajeet Kumar Singh (Print Media Technology) qualified the North Zone Regional Skill Competition 2021 and were all ready to participate in the IndiaSkills Competition 2022.
National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship combined organized the IndiaSkills Competition since 2011 where the unique skills and talents of students are nurtured and allowed to compete against the greatest standards set for them. It is conducted every two years across the country and divided into zones specifically North, South, East, and West where the winners of each zone are then made to compete against each other at the national platform. Once you secure a medal in the IndiaSkills Competition, you will be all set to represent your country on the international stage named as WorldSkills Competition. Each of the winners will go through immense and vigorous training to participate in the international platform which will be held in Shanghai in 2022. The WorldSkills Competition is also called as “Olympic of Skills” as that’s what Olympics is, isn’t it?
Now, let’s come to the point and talk and appreciate the achievement of our students in this humongous stage! Out of the six students who were selected in the IndianSkills 2022, three students namely Pankaj G, (a B.Tech. EEE student) secured a silver medal and Gagan Bisen and Lokesh B secured a bronze medal respectively.
Pankaj G participated in the event Industry 4.0, Gagan Bisen in Wall and Floor Tiling, and Lokesh B in IT Network System Administration. Proving their mettle among all competitors, three LPU engineering students have qualified nationally for making an access to the high-status 46th WorldSkills Competition 2022, to be held in Shanghai, China.
Pankaj, Gagan, and Lokesh are all set to represent the WorldSkills stage on behalf of India and we are confident they will shine! Wishing them the best of luck!
