Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. There are more than 3,45,000 members who improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,900 clubs present in 142 countries. Companies like Apple, Facebook, and Google have their own Toastmasters Clubs where they hold public speaking events to train the staff members to communicate effectively.
LPU has always encouraged skillful development of its resource pool. It is now starting Toastmasters International Club exclusively for faculty members and staff. The university already has a student Toastmasters Club running successfully. It is an opportunity for faculty members and staff to get enrolled for 6 months by paying a membership fee worth $65. New members are provided with an interesting Member’s Kit at the beginning of their Toastmasters journey. The kit includes the prized TM Competent Communication and Competent Leadership Manuals. Half-yearly membership renewal amounts to $45.
