Worth mentioning in the second match of the Pool B played against the England team, LPU students flicked three goals out of 4 made- 2 goals by Mandeep Singh and one by Harmanpreet Singh.
Congratulating the exemplary winning students, LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal invoked them to keep up the winning spree as it was by them earlier also during Olympics-2020. Dr Mittal also mentioned that LPU wants each and every person of the nation, including sportspersons, to not be deprived of quality education in this modern era. Most of the time, it is seen that “kings and queens” of the tracks, fields and rings remain ill-educated due to their long trials and practices. Keeping the same in the view, LPU has special scholarship scheme, practice and mentorship and due honour for the eminent ones.
