Bringing to you another success story of our verto from the School of Mechanical Engineering. An engineer turned fashion choreographer Shamkhan A, a Kollam native, has made a name for himself in the competitive fashion industry. He is set to become the first Indian from Kerala to direct an international fashion pageant, Miss Grand International.
Recognized as the Youngest Show Director in India and recipient of a National Excellence Award, Shamkhan’s talent and dedication shine through his curated shows. Collaborating with renowned designers and leaving no detail untouched, he continues to make waves in the industry.
An intrinsic part of any fashion show or a beauty pageant, as a show director, Shamkhan conceptualizes and executes every aspect of a show, right from the ramp setting to the way the models walk. He directed the Miss India Earth pageant and will soon be directing the Miss India International pageant in November.
Despite facing numerous struggles, including convincing his parents about his passion, Shamkhan started his career as a fashion show choreographer in 2018 and has become a well-known name in the industry. He has directed over 100s of pageants, runaway events, and shows, including Miss India Earth, Miss India International, and Miss India Globe. Besides, he has directed eight shows in Kerala alone.
Shamkhan is confident that his success will inspire more fashion aspirants to believe in themselves and work hard.
