The Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) and School of Agriculture at Lovely Professional University successfully organized a seven-day online workshop titled “Unlocking Innovation through Intellectual Property Rights: Drafting, Filing, and Protection” from November 27 to December 4, 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and equip them with the practical skills required for drafting, filing, and protecting intellectual property.
The inaugural session on November 27, 2024, began with an introduction by Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Deputy Dean, HRDC, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor & Dean, HRDC. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sadawarti, Dean, The School of Agriculture, delivered the inaugural address. The program outline and training expectations were shared by Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh who also discussed the anticipated outcomes of the workshop. The resource person of the workshop was Dr. Suhel Mehandi, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture.

The workshop concluded on December 4, 2024, with participants presenting their prepared ideas during the valedictory session. The session was attended by Dr. Suhel Mehandi, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh, and Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, who lauded the participants for their active involvement and innovative contributions.
