Lovely Professional University’s National Service Scheme (LPUNSS) unit Ekansh played an integral role in the smooth execution of the 9th National-Level Competition, organized by the Louis Braille Welfare Association for the Blind at Red Cross Bhawan, near Guru Nanak Mission Chowk, Jalandhar. The event celebrated the talents of visually impaired students from across the country.

Participants from states including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh showcased their skills in a wide range of competitions such as classical music, light music, Braille reading and writing, quiz contests, and duet singing. Each event celebrated the talent, determination, and resilience of visually impaired students, offering them a platform to shine on the national stage.

LPUNSS volunteers handled everything from hospitality and accommodation to meals and logistics for all attendees. Over three days, they ensured that every participant, guest, and dignitary felt welcomed and well-cared for. For three consecutive days, the volunteers worked tirelessly, ensuring that every visitor felt comfortable.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including renowned singer Kaler Kanth, Harsh Sikandar from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs, singer Balraj, and several other dignitaries from organizations such as Sahara Seva Samiti and Red Cross Bhawan. International guests like Kulcharan Singh from Spain and Happy Bugan from Canada also attended, adding to the event’s prestige.

The leaders of the Louis Braille Welfare Association, including President Vikrant Dutta, Vice President Ashwani, and General Secretary Inderpreet Singh, praised the LPUNSS volunteers for their dedication and hard work. They expressed sincere gratitude, emphasizing the essential role LPUNSS played in making the event a success.  

More than just a competition, this event celebrated resilience, talent, and unity. The commitment and service demonstrated by LPUNSS volunteers left a lasting impact on participants and guests alike. It was a powerful reminder of how communities can create meaningful change when they come together with compassion and purpose.
